Young people across the country have been asking for more consistent, interactive and exciting PSHCE lessons that cover Relationships & Sexual Health, Drugs & Alcohol, Citizenship as well as controversial issues such as terrorism as these are all areas that have a significant impact on their lives.  All schools should be prioritising PSHCE and giving it it’s own timetabled lessons in order to deliver it well.

To support Kirklees schools to deliver this crucial area of the curriculum in more interesting and interactive ways, the Kirklees PSHCE Toolkit has been developed and was launched at a fantastic conference in July.  All Secondary & Middle schools now have this superb resource and should now make sure PSHCE lessons are up to date, engaging and relevant to the lives of young people in Kirklees.
