School Nurse Open Door Service

Most High Schools in Kirklees hold an ‘Open Door’ session run by the School Nurse in the same place and at the same time once a week.  Young people can attend Confidential Open Door sessions for any type of health advice, including information on contraception, sexually transmitted infections, sexual orientation, pregnancy testing, and abortion.  They are usually run as Drop-In sessions so you can call in without an appointment.

The school nurse may need to refer you on for advice and/or treatment from another service, but will support you to attend somewhere else if you want her to.
